Because we kept killing plants.
The "bright indirect light" advice is fine if you're a botanist who knows exactly what your apartment does with light. For the rest of us, it's a coin flip.
We built Planterra because our own plants kept dying in spots we thought were bright enough. The app takes what botanists already know and pairs it with data about YOUR specific home — the same way a plant-savvy friend would, if you had one who lived with you.
